Boeing's Blunder

Assuming MH370 with 239 passengers and crew on-board crashed into the ocean---who is responsible?

Who will be making reparations to the loved ones of those lost?

Who will be making reparations to those funding the search (one figure mentioned is that Australia is paying $1 million a day to fuel ships and spotter aircraft)?

The aircraft was a Boeing aircraft.

Manufactured by the Boeing Corporation.

Why are aircraft manufacturers like Boeing allowed to produce such shoddy airliners?

'Why was it shoddy?'--you ask.

It was a shoddy aircraft because sub-standard engineering was part of its design.

'Please explain.'

Well the black box design on the aircraft was basically a pile of junk. The basic design is so outdated that it is pitiful. Ludicrous---an absolute disgrace.

When an aircraft hits the water and begins to sink, a mechanism similar to what happens with ships' lifeboats needs to be activated. When a sinking ship reaches a certain depth, mechanisms are triggered which release lifeboats. These lifeboats then bob-up on the surface so they can be then utilized by survivors in the water.

After impact, at a certain predetermined depth, as an aircraft sinks, a mechanism on an aircraft needs to be triggered. To release an emergency beacon (containing a backup copy of the black box data). And which then sits floating on the surface and immediately begins transmitting emergency signals to satellites of the downed aircraft's location.

This is just common sense and should have been standard kit on aircraft decades ago. The heads of aircraft manufacturing companies have a lot to answer for. They have been extremely negligent and grossly derelict in their duties for having failed to provide such basic safety equipment.

Note:
"USN life rafts are stowed in heavy-duty fiberglass canisters and can be launched manually or automatically should the ship begin to sink. Automatic launching and inflation is actuated by a change in pressure sensed by a hydrostatic release device should the ship begin to sink."
